
Branding an eight-week programme for churches nationwide.
The Character Course, is an eight-week small group programme for churches with a psychological twist. Put simply, the Character Course brings together the most up-to-date psychology with ancient biblical wisdom. In eight sessions, it covers key themes of Christian discipleship: learning, hope, love, forgiveness, gratitude, humour, persistence and curiosity.
THE BRIEF
We were brought in to the fold to bring a fresh and dynamic identity to this course. The scope of the work would include producing a flexible brand identity, a series of leaders and session notes and a straight-shooting brochure-site. We had to come up with something simple, beautiful and accessible to the target market.
THE OUTCOME
We started with a palette of logo lockups and a system-driven set of brand guidance documents. This ensured that the brand was consistently communicated across all collateral. We then set about designing a suite of documents that allowed prospective leaders and participants of the course to easily access the relevant information.





A System-driven approach
At the start of the process we put the legwork on digging into what would make the brand tick. We made sure that the person at the end of the chain was at the forefront of the process, ensuring that leaders notes, session notes, social collateral were accessible, relevant and attractive for the key stakeholders.











An exercise in partnership
We worked incredibly closely with the creators, psychologists and film-makers at the very heart of The Character Course. We used these partnerships to ensure that across, video, print and digital we never lost sight of the end goal: Which was to build an approachable identity for a fascinating and insightful eight-week course with global potential.
