A delicate brand identity for a fresh start-up.

Lovely Darling are a company pioneering an exciting and unique approach to loose leaf tea. They’re seeking to make loose leaf tea more accessible to more people and provide a genuine alternative to the humble tea bag.

THE BRIEF

We were tasked to create a delicate and approachable brand identity for Lovely Darling. The brand had to be approachable, delicate and high-end without appearing to be overly austere or exclusive.

THE OUTCOME

We began the process by establishing key visual elements that could be translated across the brand’s internal collateral and packaging. The brand centres around the ‘Fair Lady’ ident, a flexible logotype and a stimulating colour palette. We’re over the moon with the end product and we can’t wait to see where this brand end up.

Simple, elegant packaging

When it came to the packaging, like we do with so many of our projects we wanted to keep things as simple as possible. We narrowed the colour palette down to 4 or 5 approachable colours that would give the brand the feel we were after whilst not detracting from their shelf appeal. We put the fair lady in pride of place on the packaging and made sure that any typographic elements were simple, delicate and tasteful in their usage.

Rich collateral

Alongside the core, identity project we were also tasked with creating and curating a rich suite of collateral. From interactive brand guidance documents to stationery and from wrapping paper to rubber stamps we made sure that Lovely Darling was communicated as simply and as beautifully as possible.
