Evolving a local icon.
Agatha is one of Britain’s most beloved independent fashion boutiques. A mainstay in Lincoln’s high-end retail scene, it has been proudly voted one of the best boutiques in the UK by British Vogue. With a loyal customer base, a distinct style, and an instantly recognisable tone, Agatha had all the ingredients of a standout brand. What it needed was cohesion.

This wasn’t about reinvention. Our task was to evolve and codify what was already working. We aimed to bring clarity to Agatha’s brand expression, consistency to its visual world, and clear guidance for future use. The challenge was to preserve everything people already loved while sharpening the brand’s edge.

Our approach was grounded in respect for the past. We worked closely with Agatha’s team to audit existing assets and identify what felt timeless and what needed light-touch refreshing. From logo usage to colour hierarchies, the focus was on alignment, not change for the sake of it. Every decision supported clarity and long-term coherence without compromising the boutique’s unique character.

We refined Agatha’s visual world through structure and subtlety. Pre-existing palettes and typography were sharpened, given clear rules and renewed purpose. A bespoke suite of social assets and templates modernised digital touchpoints, while updated brand guidelines brought everything together. The result is a refreshed brand that still feels like Agatha, only more focused and consistent across every expression.

Agatha’s brand now reflects the quality of its curation and customer experience. Their social presence has grown in both reach and resonance, and the internal team now works from a centralised brand toolkit. The evolution has empowered Agatha to continue growing with intention, supported by a refined and future-ready identity.
